In Honor Of Fall: Some Beauty for Your Week

I’m just writing to wish you a happy day, and to remind you that Beauty is Everywhere– You just have to remember, and make time, to look for it. It’s so easy to get caught up in our growing lists of things to do that we sometimes forget to just stop and enjoy the here and now.

Think of this as your reminder to Be Present.

I’ve written before about my love for photographing spider webs. Last week I spent several mornings outside exploring unnamed meadows owned by Conserving Carolina. It has been pure heaven to explore these areas, not knowing what creatures I might find but always sure I won’t leave empty-handed. It’s one great thing about macro photography– it’s impossible not to find anything of interest as insects and other subjects are everywhere once you start to narrow down your vision and begin looking closely.

I highly recommend spending time in nature, even if it’s just a small spot of wildness in your backyard. Put away your phone. Clear your head of worries and just look around and be present. It really is free therapy!

Here are a few of my favorite photos of silk from the week–almost all created by spiders, with a little help from Mother Nature. I bet you’ve never looked at a spider web so closely! Spiders definitely don’t deserve their very negative reputation

Thanks for reading and for following my journey. I appreciate you and wish you healing, health and happiness.
