A while back I mentioned that I’d been gifted (Thanks to my amazing husband!) a trail camera which I have continued to enjoy, even all these years later. Man is it fun! I love getting an inside look at what the animals in our yard are doing and learning who visits regularly. It’s like Christmas every time I retrieve the SD card and review the images on my computer. I never know what I might see but am pretty sure it will be exciting!
In the years since having the camera (now I have two!) I have captured numerous animals, including: black bears, white-tailed deer, (bucks, does and fawns), gray squirrels, raccoons, opossums, coyotes, a jumping mouse, bats, house cats (not mine! Ours only go outside with a leash and harness) moths, a great blue heron, pheobe, northern cardinal, turkey, woodthrush, wren, flying squirrel and one animal that I’ll let be a surprise–it’s in the video below, stuck in the middle, and no, it’s not a bear! I’m still hoping to catch a bobcat, red fox, weasel or skunk.
Hope you enjoy watching to see what goes on in the woods when we’re not around. Do you have a trail cam too? If so, I’d love to hear from you about what interesting animals you’ve caught. Use the comment box below to send me a note, or email me.
See you again soon! Happy encounters of the furred kind!
Absolutely fantastic!!!! I smiled the whole time and also learned some interesting facts that I hadn’t been aware of. Love the “investigative” bear footage!!!! Thanks, Sharon!
Renee, I’m so glad! Bringing a smile to someone’s face is always a goal of mine. Thanks for taking time to watch it and then give me feedback. I appreciate you!
