Weekly Puzzler #187: Tracks, Two by Two, One Small, One Big

Hello and happy day! I hope as you read this you are having a great weekend.

Our next puzzler is another featuring an animal track in snow. Do you still have snow where you live? Are you enjoying it? Or are you ready for spring?

Here in western North Carolina, we have no snow and temperatures have been above freezing for the past few days. Signs of spring are everywhere, from the green leaves of the crocus poking out of the ground to some buds on the forsythia.

But it IS still winter! So let’s do another of an animal track in snow.

Check it out:

This animal is common throughout the United States. It is out and about when you are sleeping–an omnivore that everyone’s kids could learn a lesson from–they are NOT fussy about what they eat!

puzzler85 (1 of 1)-5Do you recognize these tracks? If so, use the comment box below to give your guess. As always, all correct responses will be entered in a drawing to win a free photo prize. The next drawing will be on the first day of spring… it’s right around the corner!

See you again soon.

  1. Hi, Sharon, I’m going to say they are Raccoon tracks, which show best on your photo of them on ice. Murray

Murray, no surprise that you are correct! … an apartment near a park with wildlife sounds great! Good luck finding something suitable, and with the car situation. Hope it’s a great day for you, Murray, sounds like you deserve one. See you again soon.

  2. Those photos are fabulous. You really captured the raccoon and the way they carefully place their paws. We had snow yesterday that actually stayed as beautiful, fluffy white snow, instead of turning to rain (as all the last few storms have done). It was lovely, and a great place to look for tracks! 🙂

That sounds beautiful, Lisa. I know you will enjoy and appreciate it to the fullest! Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. I know I owe you an email—- hopefully soon. Have a great day friend!
