If you’ve never spent any time in Florida or along the Gulf coast, you may never have seen this next bird. As you can see from the photos below it has huge yellow feet (I was tempted to just show a photo of its feet but decided that would be too hard!) that it uses to walk on top of the floating lily pads in swamps, lagoons and marshes. I actually have seen this bird! It’s a Purple Galluniel(sp?). Beautiful!
