Hello and happy weekend! Also happy Father’s Day to all of those special Dads out there! I hope you all get to do something interesting.
Years ago when we got our first trail camera it was quite an eye-opening experience. There is so much that goes on in the woods when we’re not looking, or when we’re sleeping. I have learned so much about the animals that share our land with us. For me, the most fun thing to witness is definitely the bears, especially the mama bears with cubs. Over the years our trail cameras have captured a variety of animals and even though I’ve been doing this for years now, I never get sick of it. It is always fun to check out the cameras and see what new wildlife they have captured.
I thought you might want to come along with me and see some things we’ve “caught” on camera over the years. If it’s possible, I highly recommend watching this on something other than your smart phone as that screen is too small to really appreciate some of this stuff. My very favorite clip is right in the front, of the two bear cubs playing in the forest–knocking over the white pine and climbing the tree. Though I did love the red fox tossing the tennis ball (special thanks to my friend Renee who shared this clip with me. She got it from her friend who lives in CO and noticed that everyday the tennis ball seemed to move. Wondering what was causing it to move, they set up their trail camera and were shocked to see the red fox entertaining himself with the tennis ball!!) I also love the footage of the two mischievous bears trying to climb our dog fence gate.
What is your favorite clip? Have you had any amazing wildlife encounters lately?
thank you for sharing- it made me smile!!
Trudy, I’m glad. It makes me smile too!
