Weekly Puzzler Answer 270

I know it’s been a long time since this puzzler was published. To review, puzzler 270 was a photo of a smiley face. You can see it here:

A smiley face to brighten your day!

This is the back end of a Polyphemus caterpillar. Here are some photos of the rest of the caterpillar. It is quite striking, as you can see!! I was out walking in the woods, actually looking for caterpillars when I saw this one crawling along the ground. I was amazed!! 

Here’s what the whole caterpillar looks like.
It has a lot of odd knobs and dots on it.
This is the head end of the caterpillar.

This is what the adult moth looks like. It is also spectacular!!
An adult Polyphemus moth. This one is a female–notice the less feathery antennae than the male above.
