Our next puzzler is a small yellow flower that consists of many flat, topped clusters. Like the Paulownia tree it blooms in early spring (in WNC it is blooming right now) but unlike the Paulownia tree it is native to the US and an important source of pollen and nectar for many of our native pollinators.
Here are some photos. Do you recognize it? Perhaps you, like me, have it growing in your flower garden.
Next weekend I’ll give you the answer and tell you why you might want to consider planting this in your yard or garden. Do you already know? Then I’d like to hear from you! You can use the comment box below the post to join the conversation. I’d love to hear from you!
Looking forward to the answer
