Hi everyone! Happy Saturday. Can you believe it’s the last one of this month? I know I say this often, but, wow, it’s amazing March is just around the corner.
Did you recognize last week’s puzzler as a raccoon track? Let’s do another featuring an animal track in snow or ice.
Check it out below:
This animal has five toes on both the front and hind feet, all of which are partially webbed. Sometimes when they move along, they leave an obvious tail drag, as in the photo below–but you can find the same tracks without the drag, so don’t be fooled.
Here’s another:
If you’ve ever had the great fortune of watching this animal in the wild, I bet you’re smiling right now because this animal, maybe more than any other, embodies playfulness and a fun-loving nature, especially in the winter.
Have a guess about the maker of these tracks? Then use the comment box below to give your guess. If you’re right (and a blog subscriber) you will be entered in the quarterly drawing to win a photo prize–last giveaway was a sampler pack of my greeting cards. The more times you guess, the greater your chances to win. I’d love to hear from you!
Have a great weekend. See you again soon.
Hi, Sharon, That track must have been made by a River Otter. Murray
Murray— you are correct!! Hope you’re having a great day.
an otter…..one of my favorites….probably because he is a fun hog
