Check out the Color of this Water!

Have you heard of a place in Alberta, Canada called Yoho National Park? Ever been there? Like many places in the Canadian Rockies, the color of some of the lakes and rivers there is an amazing blue-green color that looks fake when you see it. In photos of the place, you may find yourself wondering if the photographer saturated the images and changed the color. For really, it couldn’t actually be THAT COLOR, could it? Well, it is REALLY the color just as it looks, maybe even better when you see it in person. Wow!

So sit back and take one minute to do nothing but look at the beauty of this place in the world. Then be sure and make some time soon to find something amazing of your own, outside, where you can sit for a few minutes and take it all in. Our world is stressful, with things happening all around us that are depressing, alarming and sometimes heartbreaking and it’s easy to get caught up in the news and forget about the beautiful things, like fall leaves, flowing water and waterfalls. Enjoy.

See you again soon!

  1. Thanks for sharing Sharon. I have never heard of that park.
Yes I agree that this world is very stressful. I’m glad we have beauty like this to distract us from everything. Glad to see you are continuing to have a great trip.

Thanks Bill. Our trip ended recently but I have enough video footage to do many more one minute meditations in the future. I highly recommend Kananaskis Country in Alberta, Yoho and Kootenay National Parks. Along with Banff and Jasper, there are enough things to do there to last a few months! I think I would move there if not for the long winter. I will return!…Am always looking for an escape, if only for a few minutes, from the craziness that has become our world. Thanks for commenting. Have a great weekend!

Yes, it is a beautiful place. Wouldn’t you just love to swim in that gorgeous blue-green pool below the falls? Too bad the temperature would freeze my butt off!

  2. Wow! Thanks for sharing as always. Nature is such a great balance to all the stress we create for ourselves.

Arden, You are welcome. I agree–we do create a lot of stress for ourselves, though I think a lot of that is just because we care so much about what happens to the Earth, the animals and people we share the earth with. If we didn’t care at all about any of this, it would be a nice, stress-free life.
