Happy Saturday to you! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend and have some OUTSIDE time scheduled. Isn’t summer awesome?
As I mentioned in a recent post, I have been spending some time this summer working on making a few areas in my yard into perennial gardens, chock-full of mostly hummingbird, bee and butterfly magnets. I have learned so much about these attractive flowers. (I will publish a post soon featuring 10 best flowers to attract hummingbirds)
This week’s puzzler is another RED flower. Check it out below–and notice the vine in the background, which has compound leaves with 4 to 6 pairs of leaflets and can be up to 12 inches long. Do you recognize it? It is native to eastern North America as far north as Ohio and South Dakota and grows on an attractive vine, with and is quick to spread so if you plant it in your yard, be ready to keep it in check.
Check back next week to learn the answer.
And have a FABULOUS weekend! It’s the last one in July! Are you ready for a new month? What fun plans do you have?
