If you guessed a Great Blue Heron, you are correct! This long-legged bird weighs only 5-6 pounds but has a tremendous 6 foot wingspan. Have you ever watched one hunting in shallow waters? They show incredible focus, looking under the surface of the water for a passing creature like a fish, snake, frog, or crayfish. Do you know much about this graceful bird?
