This is a petal from a Tulip Poplar tree. Right now in my yard in WNC, these are scattered all over the forest floor, adding a splash of color to an otherwise brown floor. The flowers are so high up in the trees, we hardly ever get to see them in full bloom.
Look how beautiful they are!
