Is it frass from the pipeline swallowtail caterpillar? I asked Merlin, and he thought the same thing. I thought they were too large, and he suggested swelling after deification. Is it caterpillar poop!

Hey Paula, the frass in that puzzler is actually from an American Beauty butterfly caterpillar, but I did mention the pipevine in the post, so I think that made it confusing! Sorry for that. I’ll try to be clearer next time. I think I was distracted by my getting-ready-for-Austin trip!!

Walked in my hoop house to pick tomatoes yesterdsy & found the exact same thing! My tomatoes & I both know the answer but let’s give someine else a shot!!
