So yes, I thought we could do a spot the lie post about black bears, an animal that I have seen a lot on my two trail cameras that I have. Let’s test your knowledge about black bears. Can you spot the lie? One of these statements is a lie–can you spot it?
Black bears:
- During hibernation a bear’s body temperature drops to only 37 degrees F.
- Bears do not urinate the entire time they are sleeping for the winter and thus, they do not require water to drink.
- A hibernating bear loses little or no muscle mass during its winter hibernation.
