So this past September I traveled north to Pennsylvania to see some fall colors. One day while on a hike at a park on the eastern side of the state I was walking along and noticed the ground covered with short sections of spruce branches. They were still green, with all of their needles, each an inch to a few inches long. There were many! I took pictures, not knowing why all of these branches were there on the ground instead of above me in the trees. Now I know! and am featuring it as my puzzler. Take a look and see if you know what caused this.
Don’t forget to check back next week to see if your guess was correct. If you think you know the answer I’d love to hear from you. Just use the comment box at the bottom of this post to give your guess. I hope to hear from you! And I hope you have a great weekend and that you get out to enjoy the sunshine.
