Did you recognize the small bird singing in last week’s puzzler? If you guessed song sparrow, you are correct!
Song sparrows are found throughout North America. They have a brownish back, a white breast with russet streaks that meet up in a large, central russet-colored spot in the middle of its chest. Song sparrows have a long tail that they pump up and down as they fly.
