If you said Bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis) you are correct! Have you seen this? Know what the flower look like? Here is a photo–the flowers are white with yellow stamens. It is in the Poppy family and grows in moist, deciduous woods up to 3,000 feet. The root contains an orange-red sap, hence the name of this plant–Bloodroot.
