⇒Friday, May 26th @8pm: Blue Ghost Firefly Viewing Party
Some of you may know about a magical firefly that lives in North Carolina called a Blue Ghost. These special fireflies are unlike other species in that their blueish light stays lit for 20-60 seconds, a few feet off of the ground so that to someone watching, these magical lights move silently through the forest, like a ghost carrying a lantern. It is an amazing spectacle!
My husband and I live in the woods and have these fireflies on our property so we thought it would be fun to have some people over to watch the Blue Ghosts with us! We’ll sit in the backyard, sip on some wine or beer and wait for darkness. Then, we can walk around the yard and enjoy this silent concert (sans flashlights so we can appreciate the blue ghosts, not the beam of our lights) No guarantees, but we may hear the resident screech owl too.
Oh and also I will hang a white sheet and a black light to attract some other cool bugs, like moths. Who knows what we may get to see! We can check these out after our blue ghost walk.
In order to get the address and directions, you must RSVP through my new Meetup site. There will be a limit of 25 participants.

⇒ See some of my photography in Asheville
at The Windor:A boutique Hotel in downtown Asheville, NC has commissioned 15 images of my images to hang on the walls in the hotel. Most of the images are abstract in nature, all are gallery wrapped canvas prints with custom frames. If you are there, look for my photography as you walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor and then immediately at the top of the elevator and around the bend.
