Weekly Puzzler Answer #68

Did you have a guess for last week’s puzzler? How about if I show you a picture?

I bet you know it now! The song you heard is from an American Goldfinch. They are the latest nesters of all of our songbirds–not usually nesting until late June or July. Do you know why they wait so long? Do you know what’s interesting about how they feed their babies or how they differ from other finches? (besides the obvious color difference of course!) Check back next week as this bird will be the subject of this week’s Creature Feature!
