Weekly Puzzler #68

heron-1020644Well Happy 4th of July everyone!!

For this week’s puzzler I tried to think of something that in some way “goes” with this holiday and came up with a bird that is common throughout the United States. Most people, even if they aren’t birders would likely recognize it, even if they don’t know its call, which can be heard here.

As an additional hint, this bird would not do well at most 4th of July  barbecues as it is the most strict vegetarian in the bird world--no meat, including ants and other insects! for this lovely bird. So what bird is this? Check back next weekend to learn if your guess was correct.

Have a wonderful holiday! Rejoice in this great country in which we live and all of the animals that we share it with.
