Corkscrew Sanctuary

swallowtail -2530On Friday I spent the day at Corkscrew Sanctuary, a wonderful  13,000 acre National Audubon preserve near Naples Florida. I witnessed so many WOO HOO moments it’s hard to even know where to begin. There was the pair of mating barred owls, (the creature I will feature in my weekly creature feature category for this coming week) the pair of mating swallow-tail kites, the little blue heron catching crayfish, the anhinga stabbing fish, the yellow rat snake, the warblers… the list goes on! But since I am traveling today, the pictures will have to wait until tomorrow… Until then, enjoy this shot of the mating swallowtail kites. See you again soon!
